Daravath Saathvik, Interaction and game designer

I design games and interactive experiences, with a focus on free-to-play. I'm doing my M.Des in Digital Game Design at NID, and my marketing background means I think about who a game is for from day one.

    CapShap Paid Ads

A year of Meta and Google ads for CapShap, an Indian streetwear cap brand: about ₹4 lakh a month in ad spend at a 5.5× to 6× return.

How I work

From the first idea to the people it's for.

  1. Idea

I start from a feeling or a question, and write the whole design down before I build.

  2. Make

I build playable prototypes in Unity, then keep reworking them until they feel right.

  3. Test

I put it in front of players early and change it based on what they do.

  4. Understand

I look at the numbers and at who actually plays, to work out who it is for.

  5. Launch

With paid ads and creative testing, I help it reach the people it is for.
